Brahmatal was my first trek ever, and it turned out to be a life-changing experience. I started unsure of my abilities, but by the end, I felt completely at home in the mountains. From challenging terrains and breathtaking views to late-night UNO battles and endless laughter, everything felt surreal. The Bighorn team didn’t just guide us—they became friends, motivators, and fellow adventurers. Stargazing under crystal-clear skies and bonding over shared struggles made this trek unforgettable. I came down stronger, happier, and already planning the next one.
The cleanups and plogging activities organized during the trek were hectic but incredibly fulfilling. I loved how strangers turned into a team, united by a single goal—keeping the mountains pristine. Chanting those quirky, catchy slogans while picking up plastic wrappers made even the exhausting stretches feel joyful. I’ve never felt more connected to nature, and watching everyone—young and old—contribute to this mission gave me hope. I didn’t expect to enjoy cleaning up trails this much, but now it’s something I’d never skip on a trek.
Seeing the impact of our actions firsthand was incredibly rewarding. We avoided single-use plastics, picked up waste, and chose biodegradable alternatives. But more than that, it was how everyone encouraged each other throughout the journey that left a mark. Sharing stories around bonfires, laughing over shared blisters, and knowing we left the place better than we found it made everything worth it. The mountains gave us beauty, and we gave back with love and care. I returned not just relaxed, but also transformed as a mindful traveler.
